Due to popular demand from my siblings, friends and followers on social media to post the recipe for my famous fruit cake,
I decided to try something new.
Bananas are a good source of several vitamins and minerals, especially potassium. 🍌 is good for your skin, very good for heart health and blood pressure.
I knew it would turn out great, but I had to keep my fingers crossed because this is something new. But, guess what... It turned out amazing!!!(no surprise there;). I've always been a fearsome force in the kitchen).
Banana Cake! So soft, so sweet....,so yours to make!! Here's how to:
◉ 1/4kg of flour
◉ 1 cup of sugar
◉ 1 sachet of margarine
◉ 5 ripe bananas
◉ 157ml of milk
◉ 1tsp nutmeg
◉ 10 medium size eggs
◉ 2tsp of baking powder
✧Preheat the oven to 180 °C and grease a loose-bottomed cake tin with butter or nonstick spray.
✧Cream the butter and sugar in a bowl until it turns into a fluffy paste.
✧Peel the bananas and mash with a fork. Tip into a large mixing bowl and mix with the egg and butter cream.
✧Add flour, baking powder, nutmeg and a pinch of salt and whisk together until a smooth paste is gotten.
✧Pour into the prepared cake pans. Bake for 60 minutes, or until the cake is well risen and a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.
✧Allow to cool once it's out of the oven.
Can be served with coffee, fruit juice or water.
